Don’t get me wrong. I love you Amber Mac but chapter 3 of Power Friending sucked. I know that’s a strong, combative word but it was the first one I thought of as I skimmed through, nay mostly skipped through that chapter. The problem is that anecdotes of social media successes have become cliche.

Instead of being nothing more than a critic, I’d like to propose that the following stories of achievement no longer be included in future books on social media marketing:

There are tons of other examples out there but every marketing book I’ve been reading or listening to has included at least 3 of these. Enough! Somebody please, for the love of all things non-fiction, come up with new examples!
